RECENT HISTORY
Although we have been in lockdown and closed for worship and activities, like most other churches in the country, we have been busy in the background. Our fundraising still continued, and plans were developed with Architect Russell Trudgen of Arctic Associates to start on our refurbishment project. Touchstone Glazing were appointed to install the new double glazed windows encapsulating a stain glassed window. The installations (in spite of all the supply chain issues) were completed on schedule and finished on 30th October 2020. Our thanks to their MD Liz Taylor and fitters Richard, Matthew & Ryan Our profound thanks to FCC Foundation for their grant towards the cost of the windows.
The contract for the internal refurbishment was awarded to Roebuck and Holmes and work started on 1st November and scheduled to be completed by March 2021. Updates to follow
The Refurbishment was completed by the end of June 2021, Sunday worship to start 4th July on a fortnightly basis until the end of August, and then on the normal weekly cycle from the 5th September 2021.
